Matthew Emmer is a communications attorney turned editor, writer and communications strategist. Matt’s experience in media dates back more than 25 years, including stints at CNN, where he worked on the original “Crossfire” program, and at the Federal Communications Commission. After law school in Boston, Matt worked as a communications lawyer in Washington, DC, representing cable television and media companies on policy and business matters. Seven years ago, Matt followed his passions to the beaches of Southern California, to start his own communications business. He handles a variety of projects for his clients, including books, websites, online articles, blogs, graphic novels, comic books and video game development. Matt’s extensive knowledge of the communications field allows him to provide valuable strategic advice to his clients as well.
Matt is also active in political communications. He co-hosts the “Turn Up the Night with Kenny Pick” political talk show where he is known as the “Messaging Guru,” and is the founder of the Messaging Matters blog which focuses on political messaging.
